Mina is located just outside the city and is where the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) used to camp during his travels.
Mina, also called “the city of tents” is an excellent attraction point for visitors since it houses more than 100,000 air conditioned tents. That’s not all, these tents are equipped with basic necessities including kitchen, bathroom and of course, separate tents for men and women.
There are many things to see and do in Mina. Starting with the Jamarat. At this location are three pillars that represent Shaitan, and it is a ritual for pilgrims to throw stones at them to reject him symbolically.
There are many other things to do in Mina, such as visiting historical sites, shopping at different shops and eating scrumptious food in restaurants. All in all, you will get the “home feels” while you’re in Mina.
